Upcoming shows......

I will next be exhibiting at Desire jewellery and silversmithing Fair in Kensington.

Just over a week to go! I have been busy getting ready in the workshop as it is also not long now till the British Craft Trade Fair in Harrogate.

I will post a few preview pictures of some new jewellery over the next couple of weeks!
Following a trip to the Goldsmiths Company Library I am currently designing new pieces for my silversmithing collection, designed for the dressing table.
Here are a few things that have been inspiring me.

Also I am now selling work online through the House of Jewellers. A new retail site for jeweller designer makers....

Inspirations from the Archive.

I will be going back this evening along with fellow Bishopslanders to view our work on display as part of the "Inspirations from the Archive exhibition" at the V&A. My piece is a decorative pot and lid for containing loose powder. Designed to be displayed o the dressing table the hand engraved lid is inspired by engraving patterns found in an out of use compact powder case. The engraving is loose and free, circling the edge of the lid, as inspired by decorative casting patterns I found within the V&A archive collections. All work is shown along with the inspiration and design work.

Great Northern Craft Fair

I took part in the GNCF for the first time this weekend held in Spinningfields, Manchester.
Here I exhibited my newest work following on from my 'forget-me-not' collection created at Bishopsland.

I had a great weekend speaking to visitors, galleries and other exhibitors. It was a a hectic and long weekend but well worth all the hard work! My jewellery and silverware were displayed on this beautiful arts and crafts style dressing table to reflect the nature of the work, with the jewellery box and powder pot designed specifically to be displayed in such a setting.

All the work is sterling silver, most with hand engraved/ pierced patterns found in out of use textiles particularly inspired by the forget-me-not flower.

For now I am getting ready to send my powder pot for display at an exhibition within the V&A later this year and preparing work for new stockists. Keep an eye out for further details of upcoming exhibitions and shows to follow.

Bishopsland!

Seeing as I have been off the radar for nearly a year I thought a few pictures of what I've been up to wouldn't go a miss.
These are just a few of the memories I've taken from a magical year living on a farm for jewellers and silversmiths with 11 new friends + 2 cats and of course P&O.
